“The 2009 red Burgundies have attracted considerable attention for their ripe, seductive personalities. Is all of the hype justified? In most cases it is. The wines are open and expressive, with a warm radiance that seems to echo the extended sunlight that is one of the defining characteristics of the year.” Antonio Galloni, Wine Advocate
We could not agree more with the Wine Advocate. All across Europe, the summer of 2009 produced wines of great concentration and suppleness, nowhere more so than in Burgundy. The lush, fruit forward style of the vintage makes it oh so easy to drink now, but those with a little patience will find wines that age beautifully into classic Burgundy.
