The Colome Malbec is produced primarily from vines planted over 150 years ago. Bodega Colome vineyards are bio-dynamically and sustainably farmed at an altitude of 5,500 to 8,500 feet and are believed to be the highest vineyards in the world.
The cooler climate from the higher elevation shows in the wine. It has a deep purple color with great blackberry fruit, black licorice, some pepper, and very structured on the mid-palate. This Malbec needs a steak to go along with it.

Lush and rich, with layered fig paste, crushed plum and dark blueberry fruit mingling with extra licorice snap and dark chocolate notes. Rich, but not overbearing. Nicely embedded acidity carries the finish. Drink now through 2011. 7,300 cases imported.–JM
