Jay Miller Wine Advocate 92 Points
The 2006 Luchador Shiraz contains 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. Sixty percent of the fruit was sourced from Barossa Valley and 40% from McLaren Vale. It was aged for 12 months in seasoned French and American oak. A glass-coating opaque purple, it features first-class aromas of spice box, cedar, mocha, lavender, and blueberry. Velvety-textured, fruit-driven, and intense, the wine has excellent depth of flavor and a long finish. It is a fabulous value.
