The 2005 Tryst Red is composed of 69% Cabernet Sauvignon, 24% Tempranillo, and 7% Zinfandel. Medium/dark ruby-colored, the aromatics are restrained but with coaxing cassis, cherry, and blackberry notes come forward. This leads to a medium-bodied wine made in a racy style with enough structure to hold the wine together. Drink it over the next 3-4 years.

Supple, open-textured and appealing for its dark berry and pepper flavors, melding together on the harmonious finish. Cabernet Sauvignon, Tempranillo and Zinfandel. Drink now through 2010. 1,800 cases imported. -HS
