The 2005 Grenache The Fave (100% Grenache from 45-year old vines aged over 12 months in neutral wood) exhibits a Mediterranean-styled personality with hints of Provencal herbs, kirsch, licorice, pepper, and a resiny/forest character. Heady, medium-bodied, and spicy with a dry, angular finish, it is an excellent, possibly outstanding Grenache to consume over the next 4-5 years.
