Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2008 Shiraz is scented of black cherry and crushed blackberries with hints of licorice and tar. High acidity plus a medium level of fine tannins structure the full bodied palate, and it finishes long with plenty of juicy fruit. Drinking now, it should remain this appealingly vibrant to 2014.

This ripe and succulent red has a juicy feel to its lively blueberry and plum fruit, hinting at toast and cedar as the finish lingers. Drink now through 2014. 7,000 cases imported.–HS
