Winemaker's Notes:
A rich tawny with great depth of colour. Opulent and expressive with the classic rancio character of great aged tawny port clearly evident. The lifted rancio character is supported by still vibrant fruit aromas and a somewhat earthy element. The palate is full bodied and rich with clean fruit flavours of chocolate, raisined fruit and spice and an almost butterscotch mouth feel. The age of this wine adds a nutty complexity and more rancio characters before a drying finish balances the fruit sweetness.
