2006 GF Grand Finale Robert Foley & Switchback Blend 1.5L

If your first sip of this stunner seems a little familiar, there's good reason.  Last year, we were the lucky high-bidders on the collaborative 2006 Foley/Switchback auction lot at Premiere Napa Valley.  For this bottling, five cases of superior mountain fruit were selected from winemaker Robert Foley's sources on Howell Mountain and Mt. Veeder as well as the Peterson Family's vineyard in Calistoga. 

The result?  A big, fat, opulent wine with dark, dark fruits and soft, silky tannins that linger in a looong finish.  We loved this auction wine so much that we pursuaded Bob to scare up just a little more.  This is that auction wine with a twist: an extra shot of Foley Cab for some oomph.
