Winemaker's Notes:
The wine is 75% from the Sweetwater Vineyard and 25% from different sites on our property. It possesses the typical Rochioli character and classic Russian River charm with black cherry and spice aromas. Aged in French oak for 15 months, the wine displays a full body and silky texture finish with a firm and balanced structure. Reviews Robert Parker 90-92 Points
The 2009 Pinot Noir Estate exhibits copious cherry aromas intermixed with hints of root vegetables and spring flowers. It is a soft, round, generous, pure, strikingly seductive Pinot Noir to drink over the next 5-6 years.

Openly fruity, with plum, black cherry, mineral and spice notes that show a touch of cedar. Medium- to full-bodied, retaining its delicate profile. Drink now through 2017. 3,550 cases made.–JL

Bright ruby. Powerful black raspberry and cherry pit aromas are complicated by sexy oak spices and a hint of mocha. Lush and round, with dark berry and candied licorice flavors enlivened by tangy acids and firmed by dusty, fine-grained tannins. Finishes sweet and very long, with a silky texture and smoky floral and herbal notes. |
