The 2011 "1883" Chardonnay from Monterey is our best Chardonnay for the money in the store right now. It’s a refreshing, bright, clean Chardonnay with great concentration, plenty of tropical fruits, and a subtle oak presence.
There’s a good reason why we’ve sold so many cases that it’s about take over a big name in California as the # 1 selling Chardonnay here at Gary’s! It tastes that good.
"1883" Chardonnay is made by the Wente Family. 1883 was a good year for the Wente family. It was the year in which C.H. Wente founded his northern California winery, beginning what would become more than a century-long family foray into winemaking. Wente is still a family-run winery, and to pay homage, they produced this special bottling called “1883” to honor their founder.
The price for 2011 "1883" Chardonnayis $14.99 per bottle with Free Shipping on any order of six or more bottle.

Tropical fruits are bursting from the nose. Juicy fruit on the palate with ripe apples, peach, mango, and lychee nut with a clean finish. The oak is nicely understated here showcasing more of the ripe fruit flavors. This is a real crowd pleaser. |
