We identify wineries in the very best regions of California for each grape variety, for our Chardonnay we chose the Russian River Valley, home to some of California's finest Chardonnay vineyards.
The Russian River is a cool climate region with fog shrouded microclimates. The days begin in bright sunshine, with the coastal fog bank out over the ocean. As the day warms, the cooling fog rolls in and blankets the Chardonnay vines, keeping them cool in the afternoons and evenings, producing ideal balance and ripeness.
Our Going Forward Russian River Chardonnay is the direct result of this spectacular Chardonnay growing region, and the expertise of the winemaking at our partner winery. The palate is all unctuous lush ripe pear and lemon curd, giving way to clean minerality on the finish.
