Winemaker's Notes:
Vibrant yellow, verging on gold in the glass the richness of this wine begins with the color, and follows through at every level. Aromas of lemon, orange-rind and pear stream from the glass, accompanied by undertones of honey, paraffin and chalky-soil. The palate explodes with lemon, apple, candied orange peel, honeydew and pineapple, along with an intriguing spine of minerality and earthy spice. The mouthfeel is rich, but generous acidity ensures a laser-like focus that carries all these flavors through to a finish that goes on and on, leaving a lingering impression of lemon-drop. The depth, richness, and intensity of this wine shows exactly why we are so excited to have added Durell Chardonnay to our lineup.
