Blockbuster 94 point Syrah from top Sonoma producer under $20
Adam and Dianna Lee made their name with outstanding Pinot Noirs under the Siduri label. But now it's their reasonably priced Syrahs bottled under the Novy label which are receiving huge praise from the critics.
We tasted these wines during the summer and were absolutely floored by the quality of the 2007 Novy Syrah Parson's Vineyard bottling. A blockbuster Syrah that is ultra-ripe and concentrated, bursting with blueberries, raspberries, and a bit of smokiness as well.
Best of all, this bottling previously retailed closer to $30, and we've got it right now in stock at $19.99 per bottle. As a bonus, we're throwing in Free Shipping on a Case or $1/Bottle Shipping on a six pack. Deals on great California Syrah don’t get much better than this! Reviews Wine Spectator 92 Points
Rich and intense, with a pure core of ripe blackberry, wild berry and blueberry fruit that's complex, structured, concentrated and full-bodied, ending with a touch of road tar and firm tannins. Drink now through 2017. 140 cases made.–JL
Wine Enthusiast 94 Points
A Syrah of considerable proportions, made in the Novy style of power and ripeness. It's suprising that Novy didn't priced it higher, as it has that extractive richness and inherent wealth of texture that are the domain of expensive red wines. Just tremendous in blackberries, chocolate and spices, with the most beautiful tannins. Drink now, with the finest meats. |
