The 2010 May Be Even Better Than The 2009
Our # 1 wine from 2011 is back in stock with the newly released 2010 vintage of The Culprit! We’ve tasted it three times now and we think it’s even better than the previous vintage. It’s jam packed with raspberries and spice. It’s another outstanding Culprit.
The Culprit is blended from a whole kitchen sink of varietals, much like Orin Swift’s "The Prisoner". The great news is that it’s half the price of the Prisoner, and you'd be hard pressed to find much of a difference in quality between the two. 2010 The Culprit is a blend predominantly of Syrah, Zinfandel, and Petite Sirah, with six other varietals thrown into the mix to give it plenty of complexity. This is a big, bold, and intense wine!

Rich and deeply concentrated with ripe raspberries, black cherries, briary spice, and silky tannins. There is a long finish with more raspberries and a nice elegant structure on the finish that should blossom with even more fruit flavors and spice after it’s been opened. |
