For more than 30 years, our Sonoma County Sauvignon Blanc has been one of our most popular and highly regarded wines. The fruit sourced for this Sauvignon Blanc comes from vineyards located in five different appellations in Sonoma County. Intense varietal aromas of lemongrass, melon and cilantro combine with flavors of grapefruit and pineapple culminating in a crisp finish.
The 2013 vintage began with a very dry and mild spring and an early bloom. The mild summer that followed slowly matured the grapes until the first vineyards were ready to harvest in mid-September. The vineyards were picked and fermented separately in stainless steel tanks. After settling, our winemaking team selected individual lots which form a harmonious and complex blend. The wine was produced without any barrel aging or malolactic fermentation, so the distinctive varietal character of Sauvignon Blanc would carry through to the bottle.
