To create the Hess Select series wines, Donald Hess seeks out the regions best suited to growing fruit-forward wines true to their varietal character. Grapes are sourced from Hess's estate vineyards and a select group of growers in Napa, Monterey, Lake and Mendocino Counties, with whom they have had long-term relationships. Hess adheres to the philosophy of sustainable farming and works exclusively with family owned vineyards.
Winemaker's Notes:
Tropical aromas of freshly-cut pineapple and ripe pear. A soft entry of well-balanced fruit and oak persists all the way to a pleasing finish of honeydew melon and crème brûlée.
