Winemaker's Notes:
In our Pinot Noir we are above all looking for those lots that show a balance of tannin and acid, fruit flavors that while rich, dark-red and complex, are not overblown or leaning toward the burnt jam style of Pinot you sometimes see. Our Carneros bottling delivers distinctive Pinot Noir character in a wine of power, grace and elegance. Reviews Wine Advocate 87 Points
The 2009 Pinot Noir is a tasty, entry-level wine bursting with ripe red fruit and sweet spices. There is nothing fancy here, just a tasty, forward wine meant to be enjoyed over the next few years. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2015.-AG

Complex, detailed and understated, this delivers a trim mix of black cherry, wild berry and mineral notes. Medium- to full-bodied, ending with a touch of cedar and graphite. Drink now through 2016. 9,226 cases made.–JL

A ripe, pretty and attractively airy nose features aromas of violets, plum and lightly spiced black cherry. There is very good richness to the fresh and vibrant flavors that possess a lovely texture before terminating in a dusty and clean finish of acceptable depth and length. |
