And just to let you know how difficult it is finding a 91 point Cabernet under $20…only four under $20 Cabs including the Montes Alpha 2007 have been rated 91 points or higher by the Wine Advocate in the past three years!
The grapes come from “La Finca de Apalta” Estate, in the Apalta Valley, reputed to be the best for red wines in Chile.

The 2007 Alpha Cabernet Sauvignon raises the bar considerably. A glass-coating opaque purple, it has an excellent bouquet of toasty oak, tobacco, espresso, and blackcurrant. With good richness, excellent depth, and a firm structure, it will evolve for several years and drink well through 2019.
