"Exports of Provence Rosé to U.S. Jump 62% from 2010 to 2011"
That was a headline from a couple weeks ago. And it’s not just a trend in the US, it is a global phenomenon. There are two big reasons why this is happening. First, Provence rosés are versatile wines that match well with food and second, they have a very high quality to price ratio (QPR). The quality is so high because rosé wines account for 87% of Provence’s wine production. Simply put, rosé is what they do best!
A great example of a QPR Provence rosé is the 2011 Coeur Estérelle. It’s a very delicate and round Provencal rosé with plenty of strawberries and white peaches. We think Coeur Estérelle Rosé is a tremendous value at $11.99 per bottle on sale.
The previous vintage of the Coeur Estérelle Rosé was the Wine Spectator’s highest rated 2010 Provencal Rosé under $15! Where will it rank this vintage?
The price for 2011 Coeur Estérelle Cotes de Provence Rosé is just $11.99 per bottle!

Red fruits and mineral notes on the nose. Very round on the palate with strawberries, a little white peach, a nice creaminess, and a long finish. This is a delicious Rosé for the money!
