The vineyard is located in the new appellation 'Gres of Montpellier', facing toward the Mediterranean Sea and backing onto the Cevennes Hills. Les Verrieres de Montagnac is the brainchild of Walter Pizzaferri and his associates, who founded the vineyard in 2004. Walter together with his celler master and winemaker Oliver Groux have adopted a more modern approach to winemaking. Oliver who previously worked at one of Bordeaux's prestigious wine estates, has been playing a major part in this venture. The estate continues in the path of history by creating its wines from: Cinsault, Carignan, Grenache and Syrah

A muscular style, offering a concentrated, intense mix of crushed red fruit and bittersweet chocolate flavors, with big structure and big tannins. Mint, tannins and spice fill the long, intense finish. Tempting now. Best from 2019 through 2014. Tasted twice, with consistent notes. 1,000 cases made.
