14581b.jpg 		It's not easy finding a quality Pauillac that is reasonably priced from Bordeaux but we've found one during our visit to Bordeaux in March. We visited the Chateau and tasted with the winemaker from the estate. We're extremely impressed with their wines and especially their 2006 vintage.

It's understandable why the wines could be of high quality since the vineyards for the wine neighbor Pontet Canet and Mouton Rothschild in the northern area of Pauillac.

In a blind tasting by Decanter Magazine the 2005 vintage was rated five stars and was one of only three wines tasted that were given an automatic five stars because each person in the panel rated it above a certain score. The other two wines were Mouton Rothschild and Pichon Baron.

Very classic Pauillac in style with cassis fruit, minerals, smokiness, dried herbs, and good structure. The tannins are soft so it's actually drinking really well right now. A great value from Pauillac which is very difficult to find.
