International Wine Cellar 91-93 Points
Good deep red with ruby highlights. Very dark aromas of black cherry, blackberry, bitter chocolate and earth. Broad but a bit youthfully tough, offering less easy sweetness today than the Boudots. Finishes with substantial building dusty tannins and noteworthy power. This may well need six or seven years of bottle aging, while the more Vosne-like Boudots will probably be delicious in four or five years.-ST
Burghound 90-93 Outstanding
A ripe, fresh and much more sauvage and classic Nuits nose of humus, earth and dark berry fruits that precedes rich, intense and rather suave medium-bodied flavors blessed with ample amounts of dry extract that smooth out the ever-so-slightly rustic and very firm tannins on the gorgeously long finish. This should age very well as the balance is spot on.
