We are continuously searching for the best quality wines we can find that over deliver compared to their selling price. To accomplish this we taste as many wines as we can daily, whether it’s at a trade tasting or in the store. Recently, we had a day in which we must have tasted nearly fifty potential new wines for the store. Only a handful passed our test, and made it to our shelves.

The best wine from the tasting was the 2008 Zenato Cormi. It’s a blend of 50% Corvina, the traditional grape of Amarone, and 50% Merlot. It has layers of ripe black cherries and morello cherries. Great minerality, earthiness, and well structured with a very focused finish with ripe tannins.
