· Wine Spectator 93 point Super Tuscan under $20!
Wow!! Let us preface this by saying that we don't like to overhype every wine we come across when there are so many great wines out there. That said, we just tasted this in the store and found it to be a blockbuster Super Tuscan that drinks more like a $35-40 wine. A great nose with spice from the barrique aging is followed by a palate loaded with raspberries, espresso, and full velvety tannins. This is an unbelievably good, explosive wine and (we think) a must-by by the case at minimum!
Intense aromas of currant, raisin and licorice, with hints of toasty oak. Full-bodied, with velvety tannins and a powerful currant, blackberry and mineral aftertaste. Dense, and all in reserve. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Sangiovese.
