• Wine Spectator 92 points & # 46 in WS Top 100 of 2009! • Bordeaux Blend from Bolgheri at a reasonable price! The I Greppi Greppicante 2007 is the third vintage we've carried from the producer, and this may be their best Greppicante yet. We're happy to report that it's still reasonably priced at $21.97 considering price hikes in other wines that come from the Bolgheri region. Names like Sassicaia, Ornellaia, Guado Al Tasso, etc command high prices, and they're well-deserved for such extraordinary wines. But find an ambitious neighboring winery that's not as well known (yet) like Greppi, and you've got yourself a real steal.
The I Greppi Greppicante is arguably the best value coming out of Bolgheri right now. A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc.

Deliver currant, toasty oak and coffee aromas and flavors. Full-bodied, with velvety tannins and a lot of rich fruit. Very polished and attractive. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Best after 2012. 5,265 cases made. –JS
