The apiculture business expanded to include honey-based products (liqueurs, sweets, cookies) before adding legumes, olive oil, and eventually wine.
This region of Tuscany is known for its warmer climate, producing wines that are bigger bodied, denser and packed with flavor. The warmth also provides winemakers more assurances that each year sangiovese grapes will indeed ripen and produce wines of nuance and complexity.

Fabulous aromas of flowers, incense, Indian spices and dark fruits. Full-bodied, with polished, chewy tannins and a long, flavorful finish. Layered and concentrated, with a dense midpalate of fruit. Elegant and full of finesse. A small producer on a roll. –JS
