Antonio Galloni Wine Advocate 92 Points

The 2008 Recioto della Valpolicella Classico is a marvelous effort. Dark, jammy blueberries, currants, sweet spices and licorice come together beautifully in this sumptuous, vinous wine. Fine, silky tannins round out the exceptional, polished finish. Recioto is never inexpensive, but this is about as delicious a wine as readers will find anywhere near this price range. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2018.

Tommaso Bussola remains a benchmark producer of fine Amarone and Recioto. His wines are remarkable for their textural richness, polish and overall class.
