Winemaker's Notes:
Pinot Gris is a wine of such varying degrees, elements and complexity, that really responds to proper farming methods and careful winemaking. 2011 was a good year for making crisp, lively wines with very forward aromas. Our Pinot Gris responded quite well to the cooler weather, and added depth of flavor with the last blast of heat, which gave us stone and citrus fruits with a lingering palate. This wine is an elegant example with a good mouthfeel that goes with the bright acidity, which would be lovely to share over a long, lingering dinner with close family and friends.
