Bright ruby. Pungent, wild aromas of dark fruit preserves, truffle, fruitcake and clove. Fat and sweet but a bit subdued, showing less complexity in the mouth than on the nose. Also more clenched than the previous wine. The deep dark fruit flavors are joined by a gentle spicy quality on the long, focused, attractively sweet finish. There are 5,000 cases of this to go around.
