 2007 was not only a great vintage in the Rhone Valley and California. It also made its way to Portugal producing some amazing Vintage Ports. 2007 is the first declared vintage since 2003. James Suckling, from Wine Spectator, on '07 Vintage Port: "These are some of the most structured yet refined young sweet wines I've tasted since I started reviewing young Ports with the 1980 vintage. 2007 is a classic vintage, ranking among some of the best modern years, such as 2003, 1994 and 1977. " Many of these were rated by the Wine Spectator with the potential of being the best since the legendary '94 vintage which was rated 99 points and yielded three perfect 100 point scores. Those include Martinez, the best QPR of the lot, Warre's, Dow's, and Taylor Fladgate.
