The 2008 Carro is 50% Monastrell, 20% Syrah, 20% Tempranillo, and 10% Merlot fermented and aged in stainless steel. Purple-colored, it reveals a fragrant bouquet, of violets, damp earth, incense, and blueberry. On the palate it has surprising grip and concentration for its humble price and a lengthy, fruit-filled finish. It will provide pleasure over the next three years. Senorio de Barahonda is the oldest winery in Yecla.

Deep violet. Fresh red and dark berry aromas and flavors are complemented by notes of dried rose and cracked pepper. Begins rather light but gains weight with air and finishes with good persistence and a slightly bitter edge.
