In the hills some 30 miles west of Barcelona lies the village of Sant Sadurni d'Anoia. With a population of just over 11,000, this seemingly sleepy Catalan town is actually the bustling center of the production of over 11,000,000 cases Cava, the great sparkling wine of Spain. That's 1000 cases per year for every man, woman, and child in the village!

In this village we made a new discovery, the wonderful Cava from Casa Doro. This delicious bottle of bubbly was a real revelation in taste, and when you add the great Gary's Wine price, it makes a spectacular sparkling find.

Using local grape varieties like Xarello, Macabeo, and Parellada and the classic Champagne method, Casa Doro produces a sparkling wine that is light, fruity, and highly perfumed.
