Founded in 1540, this small brewer out of Shiga prefecture carefully crafted this Junmai (polished to less than 70% of each grain of rice) sake. Made with a local strain of rice near a lake where a lot of preserved fish and salt-cured foods are eaten, this is matured longer than most sakes and has a richer, "ricier" and mushroom-like quality that goes well with "umami" or earthy-flavored foods.

C = Cheese: Only ships to 9 North-Eastern states. We currently ship cheese and other perishables to CT, DE, MA, MD, NJ, NY, PA, RI, and VT.

L = Local: You can order the item online and you can also pick it up at one of our local stores.

S = Ships Everywhere: Non-alcoholic and non-perishable items such as Salsas, Olive Oils, Wine Accessories and Gift Cards can be shipped to any state in the US.

F = Free Shipping: Items marked F3, F6 or F12 means you need to purchase at least that amount in order to qualify for Free Shipping. (ie. F6 means you need to buy at least 6 bottles in order for a Free Shipping discount to appear.)
